Happy Fall, all!

I got a great question from one of my YouTube subscribers (love them).  It pertains to cleaning wood kitchen cabinets.  I thought it was pretty helpful and that others may be wondering the same thing, so here we go! Don’t forget to check out Maker’s Clean Products for all your cleaning needs!

Here’s the question from my inbox:

Hello,

Im doing Fall cleaning and i have to wash wooden cabinets, I was wondering would you use Murphy Oil Soap on it ? and what would be the best way to go about cleaning them ?

Hope you had a grate Thanksgiving !!!!

your friend that stuck out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean 🙂

And here’s my reply!

Hi – sorry it’s taken me so long to reply.

If you are going to clean wood cabinets (I am assuming they are not painted), you can do so with a treatment of warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Dry well so that no warping of the wood doors happens. If you want to have them shine nicely, you can use a touch of lemon oil on a rag and polish them afterward (if they are indeed wood). Keep in mind this can pose a challenge if you ever want to re-varnish them though!  If they are laminated wood, no need to do anything. I think the less product, the better!

Good luck!

Melissa
