Laundry can be overwhelming at times, especially if you’re doing laundry for an entire family! I’m going to share with you some products to make your laundry routine a little bit easier. With the right tools and products on hand, even a lot of laundry can feel manageable.
Ironing
When you’ve got a lot of ironing to do you don’t want to have to unplug your iron midway through to refill your empty reservoir. Well, the Senza 200DS Dual Ironing System by Reliable completely solves the problem. It has a super large reservoir for ironing as well as for powerful steaming. It can even be used as a vertical steamer, which is pretty cool. And if you don’t have a high volume of pressing to do, you can just detach the iron and use it by itself for a low volume pressing job. It’s very convenient to have around the house; you’re not going to run out of steam and your clothes are going to look amazing.
Laundry Detergent
If you or someone in your family has sensitive skin, you know it’s not always easy to find a laundry detergent that doesn’t irritate. The Nellie’s line of laundry products is a great choice. These products not only look cute but they work really, really well. They’re also biodegradable, non-toxic and scent free. And work just as well in hot water or cold water cycles. They’re great for high-efficiency machines too. The line comes complete with laundry soda and oxygen brightener, which is a great alternative to chlorine bleach. This is a line I’m sure you’ll fall in love with and it’ll definitely have a place in your laundry room.
Fuller Brushes
As a cleaning insider, I want to give you a little bit of history about Fuller Brush. They have been around for over 100 years and are likely the best-known company in this department. Now, you might be asking why you’d need brushes in the laundry room and I’ll tell you!
Your lint trap can easily become clogged and trapped with lint, even though you empty it after every load, lint gets in around the filter and needs to to be cleaned out to prevent fires and keep your machine running efficiently. That’s where the clothes dryer lint removal brush comes in handy. You can use it dip right into your lint trap and pick out all of that dust that’s stuck in your dryer that you otherwise can’t access. You can use it in other parts of the house too! It’s a great vent cleaning brush, perfect to clean out the lint that collects at the back of your fridge or stove.
Drying Rack
If you’re a fan of air drying, which I am, you know you need a good drying rack. I like this one because it comes with a mesh panel that allows you to lay items flat to dry. You don’t want to hang heavy items like dresses or sweaters on a hanger because they’ll stretch out and lose their shape. The same applies to putting them on a drying bar. By laying them flat you’ll ensure that the fabric’s integrity is maintained while drying.
Dryer Balls
I have not used fabric softener for about 10 years now. Instead, I use dryer balls. My current favorite are the Woolzies—they’re 100 percent New Zealand wool (and they’re handmade). This means they help speed up dry time by about 25 percent, they reduce static cling and they are also hypoallergenic. Simply toss about six of these in your dryer with your clothes. They last for about a thousand washes. The coolest part is that you can take essential oils and dash a few drops of your favorite scent onto the dryer balls, toss them in, and they’ll help disperse that nice gentle scent onto your clothing without ruining anything.
Laundry Tools
Transporting
Transporting your laundry can be a struggle. Socks fall out, underwear is lost and it’s, well, frustrating. Thankfully, Honey-Can-Do has come up with a number of great laundry solutions including a mesh laundry bag and pop-up laundry hampers. Both are designed to get your laundry from point A to point B in style and, of course, functionally.
Bags and Tools
But Honey-Can-Do also has a line of really cool laundry solutions. Case in point, this shoe wash and dry bag. This is brilliant. If you can machine wash your running shoes, obviously, check the care label first, this little bag allows you to slip in a pair of shoes and then use these hooks to hang it on the back of your washing machine door. They also have a hosiery wash bag, which allows you to compartmentalize different undergarments. You can just throw them in the washing machine. Then when you pull it out, it makes sorting and separating a snap; whether you’re putting items into the dryer or hanging them to dry. Anything that makes laundry more fun and easier is definitely a win.
